viewpoint of "Behrouz Foroutan"   "Rising Forever"         Works on entrepreneurships from the viewpoint of "Behrouz Foroutan" Selections from books: "Hi, My Friend" and "Rising Forever" The book "Rising Forever" is the latest comprehensive guideline for Iranian entrepreneurship, especially family entrepreneurship. The book was recently published with university assistance along with the Behrouz cultural group. The books focus of life trends, management, and entrepreneurship situations and recommendations from Mr. Behrouz Foroutan. “Rising Forever” should be considered as a supplement to “Hi, my friend” which was the first Iranian published book on entrepreneurship.     I was born on 31st Mar.1945 in Amrieh district of Tehran. My father was a commander in the army and my mother raised the family. I was the youngest of seven siblings. My father always emphasized that in order to have an independent and comfortable life, hard work is essential, this principle was installed in me by doing part time work from a young age.     When I was a kid I use to work all summer, not essentially for the money, but for enjoyment and to ease boredom. I think that many of today’s parents tend to ‘nurture’ their kids to much, which ends up being detrimental once he/she is grown up. I learnt from my childhood that working is not a disgrace. I started my company form a single room in the basement of a building. When my wife noticed how hard I was working and the financial strain I was under, she offered me her wedding ring which, at that point, was the most precious and dearest material object in our lives. I shouldn't become hopeless, I couldn't be hopeless. The path I chose will lead to success. The challenge has just started... I used to deliver my goods to the shops on credits, and was even sending my goods to people's homes directly. I had to miss school at times in order to promote and distribute my products. In 1986 I partnered with someone to provide additional investment, but then I realized that the partner only considered everything commercially and was only looking for more profits. As there is more to a successful business than just profits I subsequently cancelled the partnership. In business, you should be patient, development your company properly, and this will lead you to prosper. I believe that the cultural and social aspects have a high value within company and should not be neglected. The years 1990-1991 were the favorable and prosperous years for Behrouz Food Industries I never talk about my tiredness, in order for my co-workers not to lose motivation In 1997 Behrouz Foods encountered an unexpected financial crisis. I never criticized or condemned anyone and took full responsibility for the situation. I wish the government supported the entrepreneurs more and that banks trust entrepreneurs that have good business plans/ideas. This would allow people the opportunity to grow in Iran and they will not leave the country as easily, ultimately growing the economy of Iran and showing the Iranian peoples full potential. With all the development over the past 30 years, I have yet to achieve all the goals that I have set for myself. Currently I will need about 10 more years to fulfill the goals I set out for myself. I hope to carry the good name of Iranian products to all over the world, opening our markets to allow the world to experience the great quality of our products. When I look to the future, I acknowledge what I have in front of me, it is victory and success. With more hope and more enthusiasm than ever before, I express everyday: "Hi, My Friend" The miracle of positive thinking is the first secret of success Giving up when things go wrong is a great weakness Success is a basic right for everyone We could not be successful, until the time we eliminate the phrase: “I can't” from our minds Doubts and hesitations equate to disappointments The moment we give up against our weakness and express disappointments, we close the doors of hope. Never lose our self-confidence and never let anyone question your confidence I have achieved my successes through my ‘social credits’ which I call "kindness". It is the reason not to get tired of discomforts and disagreeable God is always accompanying people towards success, if they are equipped with complete faith. Kindness is a law that brings health, prosperity, happiness, cooperation, and all kinds of success. My father advised that if I want to attract people towards me, you will have to treat them with kindness and respect One of the laws of loving is honesty. My father expressed: One who lies, he doubts himself since he dare not to confront reality. “Knowledgability” is to take the authority on your thoughts and feelings If you don't think, others will think for you. Hence you will always be dependent on others. Proper self-belief depends on six principles: Living knowledgably, believing in yourself, self-responsibility, self-confirmation, living aimfully, and living honestly. When I confront a problem or disappointment, I always tell myself: "Behrouz, another new game has started. “As simple as that”.
